Updated EPT V2.1 for consultation

As announced in our blog post, in February 2022, FinDatEx published the final EPT v2.0 template, which reflects the provisions as required by the PRIIPs Regulation (EU) No 1286/2014, and the revised Delegated Regulation on PRIIPs (EU) 2021/2268 (regulatory technical standards, RTS)

To handle the UK PRIIPs regime specific requirements by the FCA, FinDaTex published for consultation a new EPT V2.1 .

The difference between versions V2.0 and V2.1 are limited to the indication “V21” in the field 00001 as well as an additional section 08xxx “Additional information required in UK”. The new section allows the PRIIP manufacturers to either provide the related UK PRIIP KID information, as required by the ANNEX 4A of the FCA RTS, or alternatively for funds the UCITS KIID (Key Investor Information Document) data (if the asset manager is making use of the extended KIID transitional period).

Hence the EPT V2.1 is intended to be finalized and used for products sold both in the EU and the UK from January 2023 onwards. The new EPT V2.1 is now under public consultation until 19 of August 2022. The updated Template can be found on the FinDatEx website using the link below.
